  1. Wow! Are you kidding me? Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black! Are you just angry they got more than you did this season?

  2. yeah that’s funny. Augsburg got ‘lucky.’ I’m not even a fan of Augsburg, but to call them lucky is just being a sore loser. And anyone from either program complaining about transfers is completely laughable. you could take several trophies away from both if they didn’t have transfers.

  3. wrestlingfan and current-IIAC hit the nail right on the head. That is comedy listening to Wartburg or Augsburg fans complain about the other getting transfers. Ex-IIAC and goknights what about Kist, Hanson, Knipp, Connelly, Kaufman, Wernimont, Naig, etc, etc, etc???

  4. Dear wartburg
“All i have to say is Wartburg will crush any team out there. So if you are all fighting about who should be ranked look at the top team evry year and it will be Wartburg. Your team will never compair to ours. Bring it on anytime guys. Go Knights”

  5. I’m not affiliated with the Wartburg program in any way, but respect them much more than Augsburg. Yes, they get transfers too, but so do plenty other schools in DIII. Shoot, BV just lost Hulegaard/Schwab and look at how its impacted their program. But Augsburg’s success depends on who they get from transfers.

  6. ex-IIAC,

You are telling us that Wartburg’s success doesn’t depend on the transfers they get? You take away all of Wartburg’s transfers and you can very easily eliminate 2-3 all-americans a year. I think that would affect their standings at Nationals greatly.

  7. Also, Hulegaard graduating didn’t affect BV that greatly. It was their head coach Schwab leaving that caused 3 of their top guys to either not go out or transfer whichever they did. If anything Hulegaard graduating helped BV by getting a negative attitude out of the room.

  8. I happen to know the guy, and I’m interested how he gets pegged with a negative attitude? Also, take the transfers away from Augsburg and they lose most of their AA’s, not just a few.

  9. Throwing temper tantrums after matches, giving up on matches, I once watched him hit a kid in the face after he lost a match when the ref wasn’t watching. I think that constitutes as a bad attitude.

  10. I remember that, it was against the Coe kid. That kid probably deserved it, the guy on my team hated wrestling him because he is a punk.

  11. I was told by one of the BV coaching staff once that there were 2 kids on the team that had some attitude, made weight when they wanted and didn’t when they didn’t feel like it. Unfortunately, the coaching staff felt like they were caught between a rock and a hard place as these 2 were considered their better wrestlers. Neither of them are wrestling for them now. I won’t name any names, though.
