  1. AT 149 WILLIE HOLST WILL WIN THE TITLE. HE SHOULD BEAT OUT JACOB NAIG . I SEEN HARRINGTON TAKE NAIG 6 PERIODS AND WAS LUCKY HE WON.ALL 3 LOOKED GREAT.

  2. How does RWU move up in the rankings? they took third at Plymouth state and NYU and Bridgewater didn’t wrestle their entire line up? Also when a non ranked team wins why do they move up so high in the rankings? shouldn’t it be like every other system where if a non ranked team wins no matter how high the other team is they slowly move their way up to the top my consistently proving themselves?? seems some teams are not being rewarded for consistency

  3. The slowly moving up system seems stupid to me. If you are better than a team that has a beat a lot of other team, and you weren’t getting recognized, then you should be recognized in your rightful place immediately.

  4. I can see the point of a team not bumping up so high based on 1 win…for example St.Johns beat NJ but lost to Lyc and York.

However the Loras had multiple wins against top notch teams on the weekend. Loras beat York, RIC, and Lycoming on the way to finishing 3rd at the BW. Seems like they should be that high.

  5. “questionable,” If you look at the results, you would see that RWU was missing THREE starters as well. 125 (Nicholicchia NCAA qualifier, injured), 141 Hawley (decisive win over Horwath from Ithaca and close loss to Hall of Muhlenberg), 184 D. Woods who lost a close match to Coleman from NYU and is close with Lenhardt, Quinlan, and Smith. All 3 could have placed, most likely made the finals. NYU and Bridgewater were missing guys as well that would have been finalists (Camissa, Coleman, etc…), so in my opinion it was a somewhat level playing field.

I can see what you are saying though, about why RWU shouldn’t be ranked. I don’t think they should be ranked because they have yet to field their entire “true” lineup. I don’t think they are better than NYU, but they are a team that has the ability and talent to do some damage if they peak at the right time. Look what happened last year when RWU finally got everyone back in the line-up: they win the NECCWA duals and beat then #7 JWU in the finals.

Anything can happen. Injuries and other issues can happen, but remember, these are just rankings anyway, that’s why they wrestle the matches!
