National Duals Bracket & NWCA Rankings

1. No way does Augsburg deserve the #1 seed for the dual tourney. I like the fact that Wartburg may get to avenge their loss (via slam) against St. John’s in a possible semifinal matchup, but’s let be real here folks. Wartburg will be favored against Auggie at 25, 33, 57, 84, 97 and HWT. And if Ponce is out for his chair-throwing DQ at the Citrus in Florida, then chaulk 65 up for the Knights as well. Rediculous!

2. what happened to stierly @ 141?

3. Kind of surprising to see Albright of York only tenth.

4. Albright is a tough wrestler, but he has only beaten one really good wrestler. He is currently 1-1 with the big guys, and the loss was from a wrestler who isn’t even ranked (last year’s AA). Give it time, with more matches he will climb up; but then again 141 is a mountain of a weight class.

5. Stierly hasn’t been wrestling, He has been off almost 2 months. The ranking committee takes that into consideration when making their picks. It’s a shame, I hope he can make it back soon, he will make a big impact in the regionals.

8. yeah, the empire regionals will be exciting especially at 133 and 141 with McInally v. Ecker and Sterling v. Stierly…

9. how did augsburg go from 6 to 1 in rank?

10. Adding Ponce, Molitor and Massey back to the lineup.
