3. I agree, it is terrible but the coaches need to take some responsibility for putting a team together that can compete. I recently attended their conference tournament where they had only 3 wrestlers compete and I believe they had 4 at the regional. That is not acceptable and the program is in need of a major overhaul if it is saved.

4. Any program being dropped at any level is a travesty to the sport. It almost always comes down to the fact that the entire body from the president, to the athletic director,to the coach to the student and even the student’s parents didn’t get on board with the one common goal of preserving a great tradition and a great sport. Furthermore, it is my opinion that eliminating a program should never be an option for an athletic director. But one never knows what kind of conflicts of interest and other political adjendas are involved.
