John Chapman, the 1991 NCAA DIII runner-up for Monmouth College, passed away this past weekend while running in the Quad-City Times Bix 7 road race in Davenport, Iowa. Chapman was also the head coach at Galesburg (IL) High School where he had wrestled in high school. See the article below from the Galesburg Register-Mail
Such a sad story and scary. It goes to show that we should all make the most of each day. This can happen to anyone at any time. My prayers are with his family and Galesburg High School.
It is a sad time in Galesburg for sure. His family, friends and wrestlers are in our prayers.
