Please see below the d3wrestle.com Preseason Rankings for the 2008-2009 season. As is typical of preseason rankings, no freshman are included. However, there is a section for notable newcomers at the bottom of each weight class. This ranking carries the same caveat as any preseason ranking in that it is not always based on perfect information. We have tried to account for weight class and roster changes that we know about, but a lot of the information here is based on posted rosters and info provided by the coaching staffs of the various schools, and not all schools have responded to requests for information. Once the season begins and wrestlers actually compete, we will be able to better keep track of who is at what weight and how various lineups will shake out. Finally, there may be cases where a wrestler appears below another that he has defeated in the past. This is not because we did not know, but is simply evidence that our rankings are based on more than one match.

Update 10/20: Buena Vista’s roster now is online and does not list Satern (#6 @141) or Verschoor (#9 @157). Also, Mancha (contender @165) is listed at 174).

Just like last year, we’ll have rankings all season long. Last year we did seven total sets of rankings, including preseason.
Satern from BV is not in school anymore as he left when Schwab left and Verschoor is not out for wrestling this year according to the roster.

Looks like things at Augsburg are still changing. According to their roster Adams is now at 157 and Holst is not on the team.
Holst will be a 2nd semester wrestler this year according to the Augsburg coaching staff.
Who is Tucker from Olivet, anyone have a clue?
