Wartburg freshman beats olivet grimsley ranked number 8 at 165 tech first period
Michael Ross Wartburg 165 tech fall olivet Grimsley 8th ranked first period
Freshman Wartburg 165 Michael Ross beats Ithaca Velez #2
These rankings are ridiclous. FAKE NEWS! Kowalski shouldn’t be ranked 5th at 165. In fact Jackson Drum should be! He’s undefeated in D3 and beat your kid 5-3. I know there your rankings bu Come on!
Wow – a lot of heat over these rankings!
As a huge fan of this site I would say the following:
1. The Ross kid from Wartburg looks great but it’s pretty hard to give him a consistent ranking until he is established as the clear #1 on his own team. The Knights seem to use a variety of guys at 165 (Lee Loy, Forsyth, Hartzler, and now Ross.) Congrats on the great showing at the National Duals though!
2. Rankings are pretty subjective. Maybe Drum should be higher and Kowalski lower. Hard to say. Neither is in the top 10 in the NWCA poll so let’s assume both are probably in the top 20 somewhere.
Keep up the great work on this site. I know I am one D#3 Wrestling fan that loves this site and depends on it for news and information.
What happened to the NWCA rankings?
I miss them, they were great recruiting tools, and judged on team, not individuals.
