No Stevens Tech? They already beat TCNJ in dual and would beat half the teams in your top 30. Kowal is a solid top 10 @ 184. Beat D1 #5 and D3 #7 (at the time he wrestled them).
Lacrosse beat Wartburg on Saturday!
I don’t think you two read how the rankings are calculated.
These rankings are purely based on the individual ranking and are an attempt to represent National Tournament strength. Just like at the Nationals, some teams that will lose in a dual meet will place higher at the national tournament due to star power.
I have read the method, and it is apparently flawed since neither Kowal nor Woods are ranked @ 184 (and Stevens Tech doesn’t crack their Top 30) while both have beaten ranked wrestlers – individually. When the formula tells you that the bridge is complete while cars continue to fall into the water, it’s reasonable to reconsider the accuracy of the formula. It’s an engineering concept. Thank you Intermat and WIN for reasonably recognizing both individual and team achievements. See you at Nationals.
Although this ranking will spark debate, it is good to see. Any discussion regarding wrestling is good.
