  1. That entire regional is loaded. Funny how Augsburg avoided that regional and the one with all the Iowa conference teams.

  2. Yeah, funny. Isn’t it amazing how the 3 best WI schools ended up in the Midwest despite the fact that they are closer to the Minnesota schools than the ones in the West Region.

  3. rankings mean nothing If kids get caught up in rankings they will be sitting home Wildcards can’t save anybody anymore As for 125 in the east regional nobody is safe there will be a ton of upsets across the board

  4. Its going to be exciting when you have 5 to 6 guys in every weight class that have a legitimate shot to qualify everybody better be on the top of there game. PEAK TIME

  5. Those of you complaining about the qualifiers, do you realize that many years of data were used to determine the qualifiers? Or do you know that and just want to complain?

  6. @Rugbyguy – Yes I do realize that past year’s data was used. That is one of the reasons why this is ridiculous. The reason why we were told that we needed to move to the 6 Regional format was that the NCAA did not want us using historical data anymore and that they wanted a geographical regional format like other sports had. Clearly it was not split up solely on geography, just looking at the West and Midwest alone. So, if that is the case, historical data should not have been used at all to set up these regions, but yet, in some way it was. Honestly, I don’t know what the formula was that supposedly gave each team these power scores, because the scores were complete garbage and did not evenly distribute the teams. Can you honestly take a look at the West and Midwest regionals and say that the power was distributed evenly between those two? Not a chance.
