If he took 4th at Ithaca then he must have at least 2 losses.

  2. Elias Larson should have been the D3WRESTLER OF THE WEEK IMO. Ranked #1 @ 157 and placed 2nd at the Michigan State Open. He lost 5-2 in the finals to Dan Cheza of Michigan State.

    From the Trine website:
Larson, a 2011 Division III All-American, defeated three Division I opponents en-route to his runner-up finish. Larson pinned Matt Donohoe (Cleveland State) in the opening round, followed by a majority decision (8-0) over Tommie Graszl (Ashland), a 6-0 decision over Harrison Hightower (Ohio U) and a 4-3 win over two-time NCAA national qualifier and 16th ranked Anthony Jones Jr. (Michigan State). Larson fell in the championship match 5-2 to Michigan State’s David Cheza, who was ranked as high as 14th in Division I last season.

  3. Complaining about the Wrestler of the Week is almost as silly as complaining about the Honorable Mentions in the rankings.

  4. -i put IMO-in my opinion…I’m very proud of Eli-2nd place at MSU Open is pretty good…former roommate…felt the need to throw that out there for him

  5. It was a great performance for sure. I worked with Eli in high school for a few months, so I’m glad to see him do well.
