Am I reading the 133-pound bracket wrong or is Garber ranked below Brown? How does that happen considering Garber has beaten Brown two out of three times, including a 6-0 win in the title match at regionals and Garber has a better record.
only 8 guys are seeded at each weight. neither garber or brown is seeded.
Kramer from Coe is a 2x returning AA at 197. Has been ranked in the top 6 all year, and doesn’t get seeded in the top 8??? How does that work???
I guess I worded that wrong. It seems like Brown got a better spot in the first round. But, looking back, it’s really not a big deal.
kramer is seeded #7, it just doesnt say it. kinda like how leclere doesnt have a seed written in but is seeded 3rd
Anyone that is not seeded was drawn in randomly.
This tournament is going to be awsome!
Ah. Thanks Andy I appreciate the insight.
Erdmans (125 E-Town) only loss this year was to Marlow (125 Bkport). They may meet in the 1/4’s…should be an interesting match!
Mike, Garber and brown split at 33 this season. Brown still leads the overall dual between them 3-2. Not that it matters but brown did all american last year so even though neither are seeded I am sure something was taking into consideration
141 Ryan Bridge…your dark horse….this guy was a 2X NJ State Champ, Beast of the East Champion and was a 2X finalist at the BOE…I believe he lost to Daniel Frishkorn in the finals…anyway, keep an eye on this guy,,,
Garber and Brown did split at 133, but Garber beat him at 141. That was what I am referencing
Ok? Brown also beat him twice last year. What happened at 141 problably doesnt matter to much with both wrestlers dropping. They both are likely to lose first round and wrestle in the losers bracket anyway.
Why doesn’t the NCAA seed all of the wrestlers in each weight class? It seems like there are a few weight classes where the higher seeds drew tuff first round matches.
